Can't Be Tamed is the fourth studio album by pop singer and actress Kara Cyrus, released on June 16, 2006 through Blackout Records. Released when she was 18 years old, Cyrus has stated on numerous occasions that Can't Be Tamed was meant to be an official departure from her previous sound, with the album featuring a more electronic and Euro-pop sound and more racy and sexual lyrical content. The racy songs and music videos featured on the album sparked controversy, due to the image Cyrus had built for herself amongst younger fans.

The album spawned four singles throughout 2006 and 2007. The first of these singles, the title track "Can't Be Tamed", was released in May of 2006 to both critical and commercial success. The single was met with controversy, however, due to its music video as well as risque performances of the single. The second single, "Who Owns My Heart", was also met with critical and commercial success, though its music video received controversy much like its predecessor. The third single, "Robot", was seen as a critic favorite from the album, but failed to duplicate the success the first two singles had. The fourth and final single, "Two More Lonely People", had a mixed commercial performance due to lack of promotion as Cyrus was touring at the time of its release.

Can't Be Tamed has went on to become one of Cyrus' best selling albums to date. It debuted at number one on the Billboard 200, selling 142,000 copies in its first week of release. This was the lowest first week sales of a Kara Cyrus album since her debut album in 2002. Despite this, album sales were steady, and the album went on to be certified 3x Platinum by the RIAA for sales exceeding three million copies in the US alone. Worldwide, the album has sold an estimated seven million copies. The album also led Cyrus to perform on her Gypsy Heart Tour throughout 2006 and 2007, which was a commercial success as well. This was her last album released through Blackout Records.
